abba 0 Posted January 4, 2002 Edit: Found the patch. However, it's not working as expected. I thought it would work like zipmagic, generatering REAL folders. It works just like any other zip-Program, a window with the zip file's contents popping up. Hi! The Patch for "Compressed Folders" in Windows 2000 mentioned in http://www.ntcompatible.com/faq219.shtml is gone (404). It would be very nice if someone can send me the patch or the new download adress. http://www.ntfaq.com/Articles/Index.cfm?ArticleID=16098 describes another way to get compressed folders in w2k. So, If someone could send me the files dunzip.dll, dunzip32.dll, dzip.dll, dzip32.dll and zipfldr.dll from his w98plus!-cdrom, i'd also be very happy. thx a lot abba Share this post Link to post
kgeissler 0 Posted January 4, 2002 If you want to compress a folder, go to Windows Explorer. Right click on the folder you want to compress. Go to Properties, then advanced and click the compress checkbox. Share this post Link to post
abba 0 Posted January 4, 2002 hi! thx for your tip, but I'm using FAT32, doesn't seem to work with it, only with NTFS, I guess. The reason why I'm needing it is that I want to browse zip-files with an database utility. On w98, zipmagic or netzip worked fine, but I can't get them to run on w2k. cu abba Share this post Link to post
