telthenipper 0 Posted January 6, 2002 I have ACPI disabled and have 'standard pc' instailled in the system properties. I was wondering if there is any when you close down windows xp of making the pc switch off automatically when you have APCI disabled? At the moment I get the 'It's safe to turn off your pc' message and have to power down with the on/off switch. Thanks TEL Share this post Link to post
Wolf87 0 Posted January 7, 2002 ACPI is a Microsoft OS related system spepcification. Try to use APM which is based in the Bios and will vary with the motherboard. On a Standard (non ACPI) PC a tab "APM" should appear in Power Options to allow activation. Then choose options in Bios. Share this post Link to post
telthenipper 0 Posted January 7, 2002 thanks for the reply. How do I enable APM? I have an Abit KT7R mobo. I've gone into power options in the control panel, but can't see anyway to enable it Share this post Link to post
