allurom 0 Posted October 30, 1999 Is anyone getting force feedback effects with their SideWinder 3D Pro in Windows 2000? The stick works but I get no effects. I have an SB16 with build 2128. Share this post Link to post
YuppieScum 0 Posted October 30, 1999 My FF stick works perfectly under 2128 and 2072. Check that when it installed, the OS correctly detected that you have an FF stick and not a regular non-FF - sometimes an extension cable can make the difference with a digital stick. Also, do you get FF effects under Win9x? Share this post Link to post
allurom 0 Posted October 31, 1999 I did a clean install of 2151 and still no force effects. Under game controller I added a controller and the result is: Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback Pro Everything works except for force feedback, which works in Windows 98. I'm using Star Wars Racer and MS Combat Flight Simulator to test it. What kind of sound card are you using? Mine is an old ISA SB16 with SCSI with the MIDI at 330. Share this post Link to post
YuppieScum 0 Posted October 31, 1999 I use an SB Live at the moment, but in older builds I reverted to an ISA AWE64 (no Live drivers). In all cases the FF effect worked, so I'm not sure what to suggest now...have you installed the Dx7 update? Share this post Link to post
