MikelJ 0 Posted January 20, 2002 I can NOT get B17 Flying Fortress to work with Windows XP professional editon. Anyone know why????? Share this post Link to post
NichtSehrGut 0 Posted January 20, 2002 You didn't specify if this was the "original" B-17 from MicroProse or it's recent sequel. If it's the original try installing/setting it up with no audio first. Also, a little more detail than "it doesn't work" might help (IE: Locks up at title screen, blank screen at startup, starts up and then crashes with error ###,etc...) Also, try starting this from a full-screen command prompt, otherwise you'll lose any error reports generated. Share this post Link to post
JP- 0 Posted January 20, 2002 If its the sequel which is a pretty good game i could never get it working either, it wouldnt even load, just gives some error. If anyone has it working can you tell me how please? Share this post Link to post
gekko56 0 Posted January 20, 2002 THe only way I can get B-17 to run is to run the game.exe. Running B-17.exe or setup.exe always generates errors. At least it will run, you just can't setup the graphics etc. but your joystick will work. There is also a 25meg patch for download, but I haven't done it yet (56k) Happy Flying Share this post Link to post
