kris 0 Posted January 27, 2002 Hi, How can a NT4-server get scheduled to start up, e.g. each Monday morning at 07:00? And to shut down Friday evening? For shutting down there are shareware solutions available. But for starting up we can't find anything at all. Do you have experiences and hints? Thanx :-)) kris@prolingua.ch Share this post Link to post
ryoko 0 Posted January 31, 2002 I have seen hardware solutions to do this. Basically you dial into it, authenticate, then you can power up or power down your machines. They may have other features, but a basic hardware solution is what you are asking for. Some motherboards have things like wake on ring and wake on lan that can accomplish this, however I don't recommend it based on what you described. -RY Share this post Link to post
Xiven 0 Posted January 31, 2002 Quite a few new-ish motherboards have wake on alarm settings in the BIOS. I've used mine myself as an alarm call sometimes. Share this post Link to post
