Build 2151, Glide, D3D and OpenGL on V3

Recommended Posts

I just upgraded to build 2151 (from build 2128) in the hopes that some games will work. Unfortunately that has not been the case. I installed the drivers as per file in seldar's web page. It says it installs Glide, D3D and OpenGL, but when I went to the V3 properties (in display), I get:

GDI Driver Version: 5.00.2112.0018

Glide2x Driver Version: 2.60.00.0408

Glide3x Driver Version: 3.10.00.0406

OpenGL Driver Version: Not Present

Direct3D Driver Version: Not Present

Why is it saying Not Present?

I have yet to get any game to work that doesn't already work in NT4. I have a feeling games under Win2K is just a joke, kinda like OS/2 was. Everyone said it worked, but I never knew anyone to get them to work.

Thanks!

Well does Motocross Madness work in NT? I don't think so, does UT run in D3D on NT? No, Does Draken, Shadowman, Demolition Racer, GTA2, GP 500, Snowmobile Racing 2000, Testdive Off Road 3 work in D3D in NT? No. Gaming is not a joke in win2k and the "not present" garbage that is displayed in V3 properties means nothing, that control panel applet doesn't work correctly. Remember here were using hacked drivers, just wait untill 3dfx releases offical drivers and everything will rock. The majority of games work fine for me. I don't know what your doing wrong. =(

UT works great in W2K with an ATI rage 128 card.

You just have to install the W2K DX7 from

http://seldzar.dhs.org/

BTW, I would really apreciate it if you could give me the latest ATI rage 128 drivers from build 2151

All you would have to do is install the drivers manually then look for an INF file called

display.inf

and copy it

then look at the Driver file Details of the device and copy the files in the list.

they should be these files but there might be more

ati2draa.dll and atimpaa.sys

Thanks in advnced
