Why did NVIDIA change the way refreshrates are managed in the new Detonator drivers?

Refreshrate fix doesnt understand it, and I sure as hell can't understand it either.

 

has anyone had any luck changeing the gaming refreshrate with these drivers?

Just edit the inf file for the refresh rates you want.

New version of Refresh Rate Tool is released, check the main page for links...it supports the Detonator 4 drivers (27.xx)

Where in the world is this new version? I have looked everywere with absolutely no luck. 60Hz sucks to no end. Please let me know if you find it guys. Thanks.

The current ver 2.1 build 169 doesn't work for the 27.xx drivers, but he's working on a new one.

 

BTW, I'm sticking with the 26.53 drivers, for GF3T5, until better Nvidia drivers are released. On my sys(AbitTH7II,P4,GF3T5,rdram), the 26.53 outperformed all other Nvidia versions, including 27.42 & the refresh rate fix build 169 works, no inf swapping.

TV out doesn't work if you patch the 27.42 drivers to work with the Refresh Rate Fix.
