My pc : AMD Athlon XP 1500+ MSI KT7 266 Pro Raid Gainward Geforce II Pro 64 MB 256 MB DDR 266 IBM 60 BG Creative Labs 5.1 CD-rom LG CD writer- Liteon 16/10/40 Problem: I bought my PC in okt 2001, and installed windows XP Pro (devilsown version) on it. I even made images (with driveimage) of it, and restored that image several times without any problems. Untill begin january 2002, my pc got a lot of errors. First it were Internet explorer errors, later on fatal errors that made my pc make infinite reboot loops . Some of those errors are (before the infinite boot loops) : Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2600.0, faulting module mshtml.dll, version 6.0.2712.300, fault address 0x000569fa. Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2600.0, faulting module mshtml.dll, version 6.0.2712.300, fault address 0x00043917. Faulting application nkvwmon.exe, version 4.2.0.3000, faulting module d1_mod.md3, version 2.0.2.3000, fault address 0x00071789. Faulting application outlook.exe, version 10.0.2627.1, faulting module msmapi32.dll, version 10.0.2625.0, fault address 0x00006616 For a month now, I tried any solution in my knowloadge (in this order): -checked with nortan antivirus AND esafe desktop3.0 for viruses, none ; -format of the partition of the operating system ( i have 2 partitions, one with windows, other one with all other data) -reinstalling image (didnt work, or somethimes the images didnt want to get replaced , very strange ) -several clean installs of windows XP, and always after some hours , mostly the same errors again -complete format of all my partitions -several clean installs of windows XP, and always after some hours , mostly the same errors again -installed even –installed windows 2000 Pro, got also IE explorer errors, and later on fatal errors. What can be teh problem ? Things that changed since jan 2002 on my PC - i got a new mouse : Wireless Intellimouse Explorer - i got a new digital camera Nikon 775 Should that be the problem ? When I reinstall a OS, i always put my old ‘favorites’ that i saved on a CD back into explorer. Could that be the problem ? Any help would be so nice,I tried a month everything but I dont know what to do anymore now. Frederick Share this post Link to post
