X2N 0 Posted February 20, 2002 Hey, I just got a new computer, and with it a gametheater xp... I installed win2k and then instaled striaght away the drivers for the card that came with the disk. These work fine, however i went to update the drivers from the hercules website (to thelatest ones) and i started getting... "error invalid data" messages when trying to finish the driver instalation. Now win2k wont even let me install the old cd drivers. Or the default ones it had installed for me before(when i reinstalled) does anyone know how to fix this prob? on this site it said something about havin to install the drivers manually, how do i do this? The specs for my comp are.... amdxp1800 512mb ram leadtek geforce3 ti200 herc gametheater xp network card hard disk couple of cd drives.. etc if htats of any use... This is realy starting to annoy me... im goin to try installing win 2k again (for the 4th time) and see what happens. Though i dont have high hopes.... any help would be very appreciated Share this post Link to post
yakkob 0 Posted February 20, 2002 Just download the 3.02 drivers off http://us.hercules.com and run them. GTXP works fine here in W2k. You have service packed W2k also haven't you - (SP2)? Share this post Link to post
X2N 0 Posted February 21, 2002 I did manage to get them working somehow... when i instal win2k it installs some default "Crystal soundfusion drivers" and then itll let me update once.. but after that it wont for osme reason.. so i just updated to the latest ones on a fresh install... I havent installed the service pack, is that maybe the reason im having problems? Share this post Link to post
