Brand New Celeron 1gHz w/Slot 1 converter

I recently (3 days ago) bought this processor and converter to go into my AOpen AX6B without fully checking compatibility.

 

AS a consequence, it won't work and I have no use for it and am looking to sell it.

 

I paid $210 for the chip and $20 for the converter and I would like to sell the stuff to recoup my money.

 

Anyone in Australia who wants it, drop me a line here or PM me.

 

As a side note, I got a PIII 450 (Slot 1) instead. At least I still got my GeForce2.

Hey in what kind of store did you buy the CPU?Did you buy it of a stranger on the street?!?!I mean you can still take it back to them, boxed and all, and get your money back can't you?

I don't think so.

I bought it from a local retailer (he's a mate of mine).

However, cause I've opened it and attempted to use it I'm stuffed.

There's nothing wrong with it, it was just a case of me assuming it would work so it's tough luck.

 

On a lighter note, a friend of mine wants the processor for the machine he's building for his Girlfriend.

 

I lose some money, but I'll put that down to "stupid tax".

 

I'm going to use the money to buy a Steering Wheel and 56k modem.
