WinGimp2k 0 Posted February 21, 2002 I just installed .NET Enterprise Beta 3 on a test server. It is configured with 8 processors and 32 gigs of RAM. I can see it during start up and when I open the System Information in Windows, it sees all the physical memory. However it's only using 3 gigs of RAM. How do I get it to recognize the rest of the memory? Share this post Link to post
pmistry 0 Posted February 22, 2002 I wonder how fast XP and .NET run on that. As for the ram, I don't have a clue. Share this post Link to post
WinGimp2k 0 Posted February 22, 2002 I decided to try it with the /PAE in the boot.ini and it worked. I'll post a message later to let everyone know how fast it is. Share this post Link to post

WinGimp2k 0 Posted February 23, 2002 Full Spec on this beast... Dell PE 8450 8 - 700Mhz PIII Xeon Proc's 32 Gig RAM 200 Gig Fiber Channel SAN We're using it to test our database performance on .Net using 32 gigs of RAM. Speed is the name of the game. We need it to be as fast as possible. We start testing in a month or so on the new Itaniums on .Net 64-bit. Then we have the pleasure of porting our code for 64-bit App/DB. The fun never stops...
