TNT, build2128, 3.53, DX7, but still no D3D!

I have build 2128, the dx7 patch, the 3.53 detonator drivers, and a TNT card. I can run UT and unreal using the voodoo card and Opengl quakes great with the TNT. But when it comes to D3d, Nothing goes. I can run Unreal D3d, but it runs at 2 fps or so. DXdiag reports some of the d3d and directdraw files are old versions after I ran the DX7 update. On the display tab for dxdiag, the D3d acceleration is grayed out. I installed the drivers using the .inf file and should there be a Riva tab in display properties like I would see in WIN95? When I installed the dx7 patch, I had to answer "yes" to a few questions, then I would cancel when the Dx7 setup would ask me to insert the win2k CD with some message about files were not the correct. Was I to use the detonator drivers for NT or win9x? Any suggestions please!

I had the same problem with build 2160. The drivers that came with this build where Microsoft 3.53. I installed the Nvidia version and all is well. Give it a shot. If that doesn't work try different drivers.
