squashman 0 Posted March 6, 2002 I can only get my Scanjet 3300c to work as the Administrator on my Windows 2000 machine. If I login as another user and try to use the Hp Precision Scan Lt software I get the following errors. There is a problem with the registry settings. One or more settings were reset to the default values.[2099] I hit okay and then got another error. An error was detected in your scanning software settings. Please reinstall your scanning software.[2141] So I logged back in as Admin and uninstalled the software, restarted the computer and reinstalled the software and rebooted the computer again. I logged in as a Normal user and got the same errors. And again I logged in as admin and the software works. I thought maybe it was a Security settings problem so I gave everyone full control and tried it. Still nobody but admin can use the software. Any ideas? Share this post Link to post
ryoko 0 Posted March 6, 2002 It probably is a permission within the registry. You can set up registry permissions, however I'll give you the typical disclamer that you should back it up first. I would think HP would have a fix for it on their web, but their site sometimes is difficult to navigate, as it often is quite slow. RY Share this post Link to post
