autostart in cdrom

my autostart for the cdrom has stopped working and it dosnt detect that there is a new cd in the drive when im changing cds if i reboot it works but then i change cd it dosnt notice it. its annoying when u are trying to use a cdrw disc and some games have complained...

I don't suppose by any chance that you've installed Ahead/Nero's InCD software have you? Whilst Nero itself works fine on my system, if I install InCD it does exactly what you describe. That's the only cause I know of.

no im just using fireburner and cdmate never liked that nero

yup, fireburner does this also

it asks you if you want to disable autorun during the installation process

i reinstalled fireburner but it never gave me an option on that...

 

is there a way to enable it again?

 

in the autoplay tab i have: prompt me every time

install the latest version

yea i installed 2.1.7 and that version had it and now it works

 

i used 2.1.6 before thought it would be enough.
