ok I was able to run the game only one time. I installed the game and turned on 32bit color depth and it seemed to work. The following day I then tried to play the game again and was unable to load the game. I then uninstalled and deleted the directory and then re-installed and the game once again worked beautifully. I exited the game and tried to restart and it wouldn't work so I e-mailed talonsoft. and here is the explanation they gave me:

"Hello!

Here's an answer to your problem:

At this time Myth III does not support 32bit color mode on Windows XP. This

issue is being researched at this time. But the game will only work in 16bit

mode and works the best at 640 x480 only on XP. Any possible fixes that

might be found would be posted on the main www.mumbojumbo.com webpage. This

is an unfortunate circumstance and we sincerely apologize for any

inconvenience this may cause you.

If you are unable to start the game back up after changing the color display

please do the following.

First you will need to go into the main game folder (Default directory is

C:\Program Files\MumboJumbo\Myth III - The Wolf Age\preferences) and delete

a file called screen preferences then restart the game normally. This will

reset the game preferences back to 640 x 480.

Please keep all previous correspondence attached to your reply message!

Hope this helps!

I then followed the instructions recieved above and Myth III seems to work fine. Looks like crap but it is playable.
