Alien 1 Posted March 27, 2002 thanks for that, I got the actual driver & capture driver the other day [still haven't gotten round to installing them - gonna do it in a mo], but was wondering when they were going to do an update for MMC - glad they didn't make us wait too long. :-) Share this post Link to post
OLEerror 0 Posted March 27, 2002 ATI has really shaped up this year. In fact, since they released their first updated XP driver, they've averaged at least one new release each month. They've stuck with what they promised, so far. And there has been a noticable difference with each release. Share this post Link to post
JP- 0 Posted March 27, 2002 ATi drivers = good now no complaints here, but cant they be a bit faster Share this post Link to post
Alien 1 Posted March 27, 2002 Sorry to be a party-pooper, but I installed the newer drivers & the new version of MMC & whenever I tried to record with Video In it crashed about 5 seconds after I hit the record button. I went back to the previous drivers, but still with MMC 7.6, & it did the same thing, so uninstalled 7.6 & went back to 7.2. I might try the newer drivers again with MMC 7.2 later. OLEerror 0 Posted March 27, 2002 Oh well. I haven't tried 7.6 yet. But I rarely use the MMC anyway. The latest drivers are great, though. They even fixed a flicker probem I had in my second monitor. Share this post Link to post
Alien 1 Posted March 27, 2002 Yeah, that's right, rub it in - you with your fancy, slightly newer version that can use that hydravision prog. Grrrr! I tried it on mine because although it doesn't list mine [Radeon 64MB DDR ViVo] in the compatibility list I didn't see any mention of any significant hardware difference between mine & the ones on the list that would account for the ability to use the Hydravision function. Maybe I missed something. <shrugs> Would have been cool though. Share this post Link to post
