RavishingRocket 0 Posted April 20, 2002 I currently have a 300watt on a P3 500mhz and 256mb ram. Im gettin a new mobo and a AMD XP 1900+ and 512mb ram, and was wondering if my current power supply could handle the new hardware or should i move up to a 400watt. Thanx Share this post Link to post
sapiens74 0 Posted April 21, 2002 to be safe go with a name brand 350 - 400 Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted April 21, 2002 If the 300W is a good brand, like Antec or Sparkle, you might be able to get away with it, depending on your total configuration. Of course, a 350 or better can't hurt. I'd personally make way for a newer PSU, but if you only have 1 optical and 1 hard drive, you could try it with the 300W. Share this post Link to post
pmistry 0 Posted April 21, 2002 Try the 300-watt first, if you don't have problems then its all good. If you have problems get a higher watt one. Share this post Link to post
