Riad 0 Posted April 29, 2002 All, pcAnywhere 10.5.1 works fine on XP, but it will give the blue screen of death in .NET Server Beta 3!!! If I go to safe mode to uninstall it, I get a message saying "Cannot uninstall in safe mode". I recovered by booting in "Last known good configuration" mode, then uninstalled it, and it worked fine after that. Has any one experienced the same? Share this post Link to post
clutch 1 Posted April 29, 2002 Since Symantec loves to write their own APIs for just about everything, any revision in the OS will generally cause both the application and the OS to fail. You were testing out a beta, and now you know that it doesn't work yet. Until MS goes to at *least* beta 3 (more like the RC series) on .NET server AND there have been some updates to PCAnywhere, I wouldn't bother trying to force it. Share this post Link to post
