Ant -|- One 0 Posted May 10, 2002 Hi, all ! I'd to know if I could install a P/// Tualatin on my P3V4X ? I already have an adapter card for slot1 (Slotket !!! AB FC-370). Do you know if the ApolloPro 133A can handle this type of cpu ? I know that VIA has built a variant of it, the ApolloPro 133T, for Tualatin P///'s. But does it really mean it will not work on my mobo ? Thanx for any experience on this ! Share this post Link to post
Davros 0 Posted May 10, 2002 Only possible if you use this: http://www.powerleap.com/Products/iP3T.htm Other slotkets won't do it. Share this post Link to post
Sampson 0 Posted May 10, 2002 I agree with Davros. A plain adaptor is sometimes not enough. There are voltage issues and the powerleap products also use "steps" in their configuration of the CPU and motherboard. You also have to look at the Tualatin you're interested in using - whether it is fsb100 or fsb133. There is a compatibility page on the powerleap website where you can see if your board has been successful in accepting their product. It is the safest recourse. Share this post Link to post
