Preacher 0 Posted May 14, 2002 Via has released the KT333A as KT333. According to their specs, the only way to tell if the board has the "real" KT333 or it´s predecessor is the AGP speed. The old one has only 4x, while the new one supports even 8x AGP. So, when can we expect ASUS boards with KT333 and AGP 8x? Share this post Link to post

Brian Frank 0 Posted May 15, 2002 There will be no "KT333A". The next Via chipset for the AMD platform will be the KT400--which probably won't much, if, any performance boost above the KT333--which didn't prove much faster than the KT266A. Share this post Link to post
Rayden911 0 Posted May 15, 2002 The KT333 Boards are availible now through venders. Share this post Link to post
woz_mann 0 Posted May 25, 2002 the KT333A chipset is known as the KT333CE chipset...this is in circulation now. Epox is currently already using it. Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted May 25, 2002 Actually no. The CE version is just a specific stepping of the KT333. It's main advantage is being able to overclock very well. It is not a new chipset. It is still the KT333. Share this post Link to post
