ConQueso 0 Posted June 1, 2002 Try escaping past any intro videos. If that doesn't work, try this. Share this post Link to post
FamilyJewlsae 0 Posted June 2, 2002 I tried the fix that u told me to use (the fifth one down) and i followed the directions and when i clicked run it said unload the debugger and try again. What do i do? Share this post Link to post
ConQueso 0 Posted June 3, 2002 Don't know. The list shows no one could get it running. It might be a single fix that needs checking or unchecking, or it might just not play on Win2000 (pre-SP3). Maybe after Windows 2000 SP3 is released, using ACT version 2.5 can get it running, as it runs in WinXP. Maybe not... Do you have the game's latest patch? Share this post Link to post
FamilyJewlsae 0 Posted June 3, 2002 I've been looking at previous threads at people have gotten it to work so it does work, but what is the latest patch?.....what about the debugger? What is it and how do i unload it? Share this post Link to post
ConQueso 0 Posted June 3, 2002 Did you click Win98 under layers, and then uncheck EmulateJoystick under fixes? Or are you running another compatibility layer? Are you using QFixApp on the right file (FAQ shows how to tell)? Are their two or more files that need simultaneous compatibility fixes? What did the other threads say about fixing the game, and what have you tried from those threads? Do you have the latest WHQL drivers? Does DXDIAG report any errors? Share this post Link to post
FamilyJewlsae 0 Posted June 3, 2002 I clicked on win98 layers and unchecked emulate joystick and it said unload the debugger and try again. I might be running another compatiblity layer because when i right click on the shortcut to nba live, properties and i see the compatibility tab. There is only 1 QFixApp as i see. I dont know if there are more files that need simultaneous compatibility fixes. This is what the other threads said click here I have tried all of what these threads said and it resets me back to desktop. What are the latest WHQL drives and what does that mean? Same thing about DXDIAG. What do u mean by hardware?....all im using is my gamepad pro. Share this post Link to post
ConQueso 0 Posted June 3, 2002 As long as you've clicked the Run button in the QFixApp window, it should be running through QFixApp. WHQL drivers=Windows Hardware Quality Labs certified drivers for various hardware. Go to windows update, click product updates, and check if there are any drivers at the bottom of the list. DXDIAG brings up the DirectX Diagnostic tool, which lists what hardware the computer is using (or thinks it's using). By hardware, I mean what Video card, what sound card, what CPU, what RAM, etc you're using on your system. Also, are you logged in with administrator privileges? FamilyJewlsae 0 Posted June 3, 2002 Im logged on as administrator, all i need to know is how to unload the debugger, or what it is Share this post Link to post
ConQueso 0 Posted June 4, 2002 Well, when it comes to the debugger, I stick to the "Don't know" response in my second post However, I did some digging in the forums, and found an interesting link. This fix would only help, though, if the game's problem is safedisc related. And even if it is, who knows if the fix works on said game... Use at your own risk. Quote: Some of you may be running into the POS Safedisc protection. A fix was released last month not sure how well it works tho: http://www.macrovision.com/solutions/software/fix.php3 If you get errors in your event log when running a game with Safedisc protection try this patch... ConQueso 0 Posted June 4, 2002 I've started a thread questioning the effectiveness of the above mentioned fix. Don't know what kind of response it'll get though. Share this post Link to post
