DosFreak 2 Posted June 6, 2002 http://half-life.sierra.com/ Look at the "optimal" system. LOL! Share this post Link to post
JP- 0 Posted June 6, 2002 Oh dear dear dear Whats the point in using a dx8 d3d benchmark to show you the performance in a 4 year old game that uses the quake1 engine. Not to mention the fact that HL has a 100fps limit, that even a very modest system will max out all the time Oh.....dear! PS. im off to buy a gateway! Share this post Link to post
RedStar 0 Posted June 7, 2002 half life does not use the quake1 engine. they were the first to do skeletal animation. plus, counter strike is still the second most popular game..so naaaaaaaah! 8-p Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted June 7, 2002 H-L supposedly uses a combo of the Quake1 and Quake 2 engines with the skeletal animation. Share this post Link to post
Palos 0 Posted June 7, 2002 Who cares about the gfx engine, the game had the BEST A.I in the world when it came out, some of the "new" games this year are still way worse than HL when it came out. And CS is the #1 online game in the world by the way Which points out that graphics are not everything... Maybe some developers should listen, and stop packing 6-7 CDs with nice graphics and $hit gameplay. Share this post Link to post
