Well, the monitor alone will probably be 40-50 pounds (~20kg), and a steel case is probably around 20 pounds (~9kg). An aluminum case would of course weigh less. The rest of the components only add a little more.

So if you haven't figured it out already, it will be pretty expensive to ship...

It cost me $50 to ship a 19" monitor once. Add about $20 more for the case and components I guess. Maybe $70 for everything? Just a guess.

great thnx guys! i will check it out now

basically a local guy here in the island spec out a system fro a friends mom,

i LUAGHED when i saw teh specs, the the price!

Here is the system

"Dell demension P4 1.4 - doubt this is a dell, prob just the cpu

128mb memory

30GB Hard Drive

15' monitor

4mb vid card (built in)

offixe XP suite

Windows 2000

16x DVD

floppy

56k modem

mini speakers

mouse /keyboard

HP 655c printer

[/list:u]

NOw, you'll first niotice the lack of detail, FSB? mem - pc 100, 133? HD speed 5400, or 7200

A 4mb card won't play dvd's very well.. to my knowledge.

Now this guy wants $4700 EC (eastern caribbean) -and supposedly it is a new system

= 1,700 US

= 2,200 Canadian

I got my Vaio below for $1500 US.!!!

What a dam rip off, so basically i told my friend that i can build him a dam WICKED system for that price in canadian, and save them about $1k!

So i just wanted to know roughly the weight to add the the final price.

thnx again!
