Giangi 0 Posted June 13, 2002 I´m having problems with my ATI AIW Radeon AGP 4x and maybe the mobo ASUS TUSL2 AGP Pro. When i run Any of the MadOnion benchmarks or Powerstrip both tell that the video is set to AGP 2x but either the mobo bios as the video card are set to work at AGP 4x. Anyone has a solution for this? Alien 1 Posted June 13, 2002 Have you actually told your mobo to use 4x in the BIOS? Share this post Link to post
Giangi 0 Posted June 13, 2002 I have tell the mobo to use 4x and also i tried with the 1x,2x option too and nothing. The makers of the mobo (ASUS) have sent to me the latest beta BIOS and i have the same thing. Share this post Link to post
Alien 1 Posted June 13, 2002 When you installed the 4-in-1s did you tell it to install them in Turbo Mode? <edit> That is assuming it is a VIA-based board - am not familiar with that particular mobo. </edit> Share this post Link to post
Giangi 0 Posted June 13, 2002 The Mobo is an ASUS TUSL2, it has an INTEL 815E chipset. So, it doesn't support the 4-in-1's. SNIFF! Share this post Link to post

Giangi 0 Posted June 17, 2002 Finaly today i have found the cause of this problem. The cause i have found is when i have overclocked my pc form 800 MHz. to 900 MHz. for somewhat reason the programs detect the AGP as 2X instead as 4X, now i have changed it to not overclock (800 MHz.) and the programs report that is working as AGP 4X but the benchmarking tests also go down... so the best way is to overclock and don´t pay attention to any software that tell your PC is working at 2X. he he he he... :-D Share this post Link to post
