Epson Scanner 1250 Perfection Photo

Someone know why the drivers of Epson Perfection 1250 photo Scanner USB locks in 2000/XP O.S.?

 

The Epson Assistance say to me that probably it locks because the USB drivers are not standard or because there is the AC in USB port.

I have a Epox 8KHA+ mainboard and there isn't a way to remove the AC from USB port.
