miku 0 Posted June 26, 2002 Hi Guys, My motherboards ECS K7S5A was burned due to a power supply issue and I got a new mb Asus A7S333. I thought I would have to re-install windows but to my suprise. NO! Windows XP just booted fine and on boot, it installed the new devices/resources of the motherboard! Anyways, now I want to delete all that was in the hardware profile. I have taken out all my cards except the Video Card and I want to clear all the hardware information it has in Windows to be cleared out so that when I plug my cards they are detected as brand new. For example, when I plugged my network card into the computer, it says.. Network Card # 2.. Instead of just Network Card. So is there a way to delete all the hardware information in the computer and just make a new hardware profile from scratch without destroying windows? Thanks! A.R. Share this post Link to post
