z3rg 0 Posted November 24, 1999 I have big problem, i got Microcom Deskporte 56 /W (ESS chipset), W2K fine detects it w/o any probs, but i cantt connect to inet, it opens connecting window, dialing and it hangs and tells me error 777, modem is "out of order" When i start Hyperterminal everything is ok, modem is accepting at commands... Slimey 0 Posted November 29, 1999 did u try opening going to control panel > phone and modem options and going to the advanced tab hightlight the modem click on properties go to the diagnostics tab and doing a query modem? when i had my old winmodem that seemed to fix it to were it would work but i had to do it each time i restarted windows :\ ------------------ Brian G. aka Slimey Share this post Link to post
