dilligaf1701 0 Posted June 28, 2002 Hello again!!!! Yep - you are all being so helpful that I've got another question I have a Live 5.1 sound card in my system hooked up to a set of 5.1 speakers. About every 3rd or 4th time XP restarts the sound only comes out of the front 2 left/right speakers. I'm using the XP drivers. Any ideas? Dilligaf Share this post Link to post
Hykster 0 Posted June 29, 2002 You'll want to go into your Sound control panel in XP, then under the "Speakers Settings" press the "Advanced..." button and then change the pull down menu to to 5.1 Surround Sound Speakers. Also, run "Surround Mixer" found in the Creative start menu and change the speaker settings to 5.1 speakers. Hit the TEST button and see if you get sound from all speakers (it'll do a sound check). This will solve your problem. Hykster **TIME EXTENSION!** Share this post Link to post
dilligaf1701 0 Posted July 2, 2002 Thanks for that Hykster - This is the problem tho - I change the settings in the control panel and 2 or 3 reboots later it is back to 2 speakers!!! Dilligaf Share this post Link to post
Hykster 0 Posted July 2, 2002 Hmmmm.. lemme look into it. Could possibly be the new XP drivers. Try rolling back the drivers and then make the adjustments in the control panel and such. See if that works. I'll still look into it and see what else is the problem for ya. Share this post Link to post
