DirectX 8.1b, Bad!

Ever since I downloaded and installed DirectX 8.1b;

 

1. 75% of my game emulators stopped working correctly or at all.

2. 2 games have f^cked up anomalies.

3. Media player has full screen problems.

 

What can I use to go back to 8.1.Original?

Thats a tough one.

 

I beta tested this and its a ***** to remove. You can use the repair function on the 2000 CD, or you can use the GTA3 fix which might overwrite the newer files.

You can also manually delete all Direct 3d files.

i have bad joo joo when it comes to new versions of direct x

remember to reload all your video and sound drivers after u put in a new version of dx

Why did you install DirectX 8.1b, were you having problems with the previous version.

 

DirectX 9 will be next version worth upgrading to.

Ran a DirectX uninstaller. Back to 8.1 now, 1 emulator still doesn't work, will have to figure that one out. Thanks for your suggestions.
