rmoore66 0 Posted July 4, 2002 We have a network of NT4.0 workstations with a Windows NT server. I added a new workstation running Windows 2000. From the Windows 2000 workstation I can access all of my NT4.0 workstations from Network neighborhood except with the exception of one. It does not even show up on the Network neighborhood. If I go to that particular workstation and look at its Network neighborhood, the Windows 2000 workstation shows up, but when I try to select it, nothing happens. All the other NT4.0 stations can talk to each other and the 2000 station can talk to them. This one station is the only one with the problem. We are running TCP/IP. Any ideas where I should look to figure out how to get these two talking. Thanks Share this post Link to post
jimbo 0 Posted June 29, 2003 I would first recommend trying the two machines with Netbeui (even if you don't want netbeui on your network install it temporarily). If, after installin Netbeui on both machines, they still can't talk then at least you know it's not a specific TCP/IP problem. (Also try running Netbeui only on both machines). If netbeui works then you know you don't have any policy/security/group issues. Sorry this isn't more help. Jimbo Share this post Link to post
