clutch 1 Posted July 25, 2002 http://www.microsoft.com/windows.netserver/preview/default.mspx That was posted from Philipp, and I have seen other postings about it. I was just wondering how many have signed up so far. Share this post Link to post
Cynan 0 Posted July 25, 2002 I'd sign-up if I wasn't an MSDN user... bit pointless to me atm. Share this post Link to post
Mr.Guvernment 0 Posted July 29, 2002 i would sign up but it is likely the cd would never make to me in Antigua. Share this post Link to post
OLEerror 0 Posted July 29, 2002 I've downloaded it from the MSDN site. I haven't had much time to play with it, but so far I'm impressed. It actually looks like a server OS. The first thing I noticed was the missing GAMES shortcut on the Start Menu. No more brainless admins playing minesweeper on the Domain Controller. I ran through the Manage My Server wizard and was surprised at how well it worked. A shaved monkey could set up this server. I want to play around with SUS since it comes as part of .NET server. I'll be able to see what kind of resources it uses up so I can determine if I want to run it at work. I don't know what to think about activation having made it into Microsoft's server OSes. Doesn't really phase me much, though. In all, .NET Server looks like a fun new toy. Share this post Link to post
