olympus d-300l win 2000 compatabilty

Hi there all, I have 'inherited' an olympus d -300l digital camera i am trying to download the pics via photoshop> I have installed the olympus twain s/w -- the problem appears to be that my laptop ( win2000) does not recognise the camera, after adding the camera thorugh the control panel. I guess that the issue is a win2000 compatabilty problem.

1) has anybody outhere experienced the same problem?

2) Is there a win2000 olympus driver compatable problem ?

3)Does any body know of a download site that I can go to to solve this problem ;( as I get NO response from olympus sites
