IE6 (XP) Null pages/windows?

Seems like the past few days, every time I open a webpage, another page automatically pops up.

 

Also, 50% of the links I click freeze IE.

 

Sometimes it freezes IE6, sometimes it stays minimized on the taskbar-tried to maximize these pages/windows, but it doesn't do anything.

 

Ran a virus scan, scandisk & Ad Aware-any ideas?

Hmm I have that exact same problem! But it occurs very, very rarley. Maybe three times a month or so. I have done virus scans and everything but I have found no fix. I hope someone knows cause I'd sure like to know!

hellbringer-I browsed the IE newsgroups, and it appears to be a fairly common, though random occurence.

 

Managed to get my hands on IE6 SP1 (the complete install)-cleared my problems up-so far so good!
