GTwannabe 0 Posted August 14, 2002 I need to run some CAT5 to network the house. Where could I buy a kit of crimp your own connector CAT5 cable? Don't need a ton of it, just a hundred feet or so. Share this post Link to post
Four and Twenty 0 Posted August 15, 2002 i got my crimper, ends , cable from home depot. THey have a crimper there for about 30 bux and the ends cost about 10 for a 50 pack. the cable was like 50 bux for 1000 feet so. for ends and a crimper and cable you would probably be lookin at about 45 - 50 bux since you only need 100 feet of cable and probably less than 50 crimps. franzj 0 Posted August 15, 2002 They carry premium Cat5e and other Cat5 network cables that can be purchased at any length. I haven't been to Home Depot yet when they didn't have it in stock. And yes, you can also buy the other stuff necessary. It doesn't come in a kit, though; you have to buy each component separately. Share this post Link to post
