Four and Twenty 0 Posted August 21, 2002 ya know how when you try to shutdown or reboot .NET server how it asks you why and you have to either select from a drop down or type up an explaination. I understand the point of this for like a big corp. where there are lots of admins and what not but i am just one dude and i know why i am rebooting the damn thing. Share this post Link to post
AndyFair 0 Posted August 22, 2002 Couldn't agree more, especially after an install, where you're installing drivers etc. or setting up AD - the kind of thing that requires several reboots in a short period of time. AndyF Share this post Link to post

DosFreak 2 Posted August 22, 2002 There's a .reg tweak. Look in gpedit.msc there may be an option in there. Don't have .NET in front of me right now so can't help. Share this post Link to post
Four and Twenty 0 Posted August 22, 2002 from the ms beta newsgroups You can use Group Policy. Open gpedit.msc, and navigate to Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, System, Display Shutdown Event Tracker. Share this post Link to post
