fifafan 0 Posted August 29, 2002 Can anyone tell me this: I tried to upgrade from winme to win2000 pro. I have games on my system, but win2kpro said it can't run them. If I continue with the installation, and get all the service paks, will my games all work? Also, it told me I won't be able to use ms works 6.0. What's up with that? Can I upgrade and get to do games and ms works? Share this post Link to post
Four and Twenty 0 Posted August 29, 2002 don't upgrade. Install clean and install all your programs again. With regaurds to your games working I don't know you should list them or check them against the compatability list on the front page of this site. Share this post Link to post
Christianb 8 Posted August 29, 2002 Amigo, windows millenium came out after Win2K of course you can't upgrade. Also Windows Millenium is a different platform than Win2K. Win2K is NT based and Millenium is Win9X. However I used to work at Microsoft testing upgrades from 95 and 98 to 98SE ad let me tell you upgrading is the worst idea since cooking food. BladeRunner 0 Posted August 29, 2002 Ah, well the young lady in my life does like me to prepare the food now and again, although just recently she has offered to do all the food preperation. Now I realise you've actually got to cook food things might be different. Maybe next time I serve chicken and rice I wont have to wrestle the uncocked rice out of the chickens beak as it pecks it's way accross our plates. Share this post Link to post

FrogMaster 0 Posted August 30, 2002 Guys, think about your health and longevity! DO NOT LET WOMEN COOK REAL FOOD!!!! Junk food maybe. Real cooking is a man's job! Well, I may be biased Share this post Link to post
