Trident 9420 video card under Windows 2000?

Is it at all possible to get a trident 9420 video card to work under windows 2000? All trident has is an NT 3.51 driver. Any ideas?

I managed to find an NT 4 driver and it didn't work.

Is this computer used in an environment where an upgrade is out of the question?

No offense : can that Trident be a llittle 3D ? If not, get a Voodoo3 - 3000/3500 - is better than a GF2MX 200/400 and you have drivers for W2k/XP. If you have some cash, get a GF3Ti200/500.

Well, it will work fine in VGA mode. If you use XP then XP *should* be able to take advantage of it's VESA modes and you should get the extra resolutions/color modes using XP's basic driver.

 

Slap it in an XP box and find out.

If there is a driver for the trident 9420 in XP, than it is a Microsoft certified driver and it's the best you can get. If you aren't satisfied with it, there is no better solution than an upgrade.
