pugnex 0 Posted September 13, 2002 I have a brand new system, abit kx7-333 (1.1 pcb) athlon xp 1800, 256mg crucial ddr pc2700, gainward ti4200, and santa cruz sound card. The whole system works fine, games play, nothing crashes, except for when I shut my computer down and leave it off for a few hours, when I go to turn it on again, the system powers up for a second and shuts off again. The only way I can get it to turn on is to rest the bios and then reset all my bios settings. My friend has an identical system which I built and it does the same thing. Unless I did something really wrong both times when I built them, I have no idea what the problem could be. Any ideas? Share this post Link to post
thewizard75 0 Posted September 13, 2002 with FIC motherboards and it turns out that they were faulty... Could also be a PS problem, but from how you describe it, it is more likely a bios problem... have you checked for updates? Share this post Link to post
pugnex 0 Posted September 14, 2002 Yeah it's definetely not my ps, I used my same case with my old asus mobo. It's an antec so it's a pretty good one. Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted September 14, 2002 Hmmm, reset your BIOS memory settings to default and if they are still set too high set them higher. Share this post Link to post
