CheekyMonkey 0 Posted September 14, 2002 I don't know if this is a WMP 9 issue or SP1 or what. But, since I installed them I get an error every time I try to stream media using WMP. The error is: Visual C++ Program: C:/../../Windows Media Player/wmplayer.exe R6025 -pure virtual function call Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it? Oh, BTW, for all of you wondering how to get rid of WMP9. You have to use the system restore feature to go back to a state prior to installing. As I have had it on the system for a few weeks now, I no longer have that option. Share this post Link to post
adamvjackson 0 Posted September 14, 2002 Are you using the public build of WMP9? I believe it's 2799.... Share this post Link to post
CheekyMonkey 0 Posted September 14, 2002 I am installing the one I downloaded from thier site, but Help->About says it is build 2848. Share this post Link to post
adamvjackson 0 Posted September 14, 2002 Interesting, so it's been updated then. I was unaware of that. AFAIK, the 'official' beta build was 2799. Share this post Link to post
CheekyMonkey 0 Posted September 14, 2002 If I check the version of the wmplayer.exe file it says 2799, but Help says it is 2848. So, I don't know if maybe that is part of the problem. And, I can't just delete the directory and reinstall because Windows is caching the files somewhere. After I delete everything it recreates all the files in about 10 seconds.
