JoosMan 0 Posted September 17, 2002 Kinda a dumb question, is there a way to send a little message to all the computers in a workgroup in winxp. i know of the net send command but can only figure out how to send a message to one computer. i would like the solution to be native to windows and not an extra program. p.s. we are not part of a domain on the network thanks .~j0Os~. JoosMan 0 Posted September 17, 2002 Well i guess i will answer this one by myself net send /domain:'workgroup name' message so if you wanted to tell the MSHOME workgroup Hello you would type net send /domain:MSHOME Hello Hope that helps others too! .~j0Os~. Share this post Link to post
Admiral LSD 0 Posted September 17, 2002 WinPopup doesn't come with XP And even if it did it has to be running on every machine on the network and since it can't be minimised to the tray it'll get closed by accident all the time. NET SEND is porbably a better idea but only if all the machines on the network are running XP. Share this post Link to post

bytemangler 0 Posted September 17, 2002 great program. I use it and it work great. Net send * "message" will work too but you're limited on how many characters you can type. Share this post Link to post
