JoosMan 0 Posted September 17, 2002 This one really bugs me and it only happens in winxp. I have a USB propad 8 gamepad. As soon as i plug it in it is detected right away and runs fine for about 2 minutes. As soon as i start using it though all the sudden i hear that USB 'disconnect' sound and the pad stops working. anybody have a clue what this is? here are a few things i have noticed about it. 1. it isnt the game that im playing because i will go into the game controller settings and mess with the controller for a minute and it will disconnect. 2. it isnt my computer because i have put it on 4 different computers ranging from 400 celeron up to 1.4 athlon and it is the same thing. 3.controller works beautifully without software in win2k. 4.it will do this whether plugged into a hub or right into the computer. 5.installed a windows hotfix that is supposed to help winxp usb problem with power management but didnt work. any help is appreciated thanks .~j0Os~.
