Shakti 0 Posted September 27, 2002 Does anybody know how to adjust a higher resolution than 800x600? My ingame-menu does not allow a higher res. (patch 1.02 already applied) Share this post Link to post
pmistry 0 Posted September 27, 2002 NFS 3 with Direct3D doesn't support resolutions above 800x600 by default. In order to get higher resolutions with Direct3D you have to trick it. Here's how: in your NFS 3 folder, rename your voodoo2a.dll file to voodoo2a.bak, next create a copy of the d3da.dll and then rename it to voodoo2a.dll. Now modify your NFS 3 shortcut so it looks like C:\Nfs3\Nfs3.exe -voodoo2 Just substitute the correct drive and folder for your NFS 3 install. You should have higher resolutions now. You will probably only get 1024x768 and 1152x864, I never got the 1280 modes. Share this post Link to post

pmistry 0 Posted September 27, 2002 Hmmm, if you have NFS High Stakes or NFS Porsche Unleashed you can use those d3da.dll files inside NFS 3, should give you better performance and higher resolutions too. Download this file, if you don't have the games, its the DX7 D3DA.DLL from NFS Porsche Unleashed: http://www.geocities.com/atimobility/files/hsfix.zip Share this post Link to post

pmistry 0 Posted October 2, 2002 Using the d3da.dll from NFS PU with High Stakes makes it run a lot better with GeForce and Radeon graphic cards. Share this post Link to post
