lilwisper 0 Posted October 1, 2002 Hello all. Quick question. I have a comp running XP Home ed. When I try to play certain games (OperationFlashPoint,Medieval Total War, and IL-2 Sturmovik), I get a message saying a debugger was detected. I would like to know if anyone has come across this and has a fix for it. The games listed before did not work before or after i installed the SP1 so thats not an answer to it. My antivirus also is not on when i try to load the games. Im just glad my half life and its mods, brood war, NVN, JediKnight Outcast II still work. Share this post Link to post
ConQueso 0 Posted October 7, 2002 Try taking a peek at my FAQ and trying out QFixApp. Or, wait and see if someone responds with a simpler remedy. Share this post Link to post
lilwisper 0 Posted October 18, 2002 I was wondering would you still recommend 2.0 over this version? Share this post Link to post
ConQueso 0 Posted October 21, 2002 I haven't been using QFixApp for a while. With XP SP1 and 2K SP3, maybe 2.5 is the way to go. Whatever works, I guess. Share this post Link to post
lilwisper 0 Posted October 23, 2002 I have a fix that works. First step is to locate a file called amdfix.sys thats in the C:\windows\system32\drivers folder. Then rename the extention to.old. Finally reboot your machine and it should work. A big thanks to the tech support at activision for finding the fix to the debugger. Share this post Link to post
