mjpuczko 0 Posted October 2, 2002 i have a dell dimension 4500. the other day, i moved the pc, when i plugged everything back, there was no sound. i checked the soundcard internally & it's plugged in fine. and all settings are fine, but there's no sound. any idea's? Share this post Link to post
adamvjackson 0 Posted October 2, 2002 Ok, please don't take this wrong, but are the speakers plugged in to the same port as before? If you have powered speakers, are they plugged in and turned on? Share this post Link to post
mjpuczko 0 Posted October 2, 2002 yup. i checked everything over & over. plugged into the same port, plugged in correctly into themselves, etc. the weird thing is, i was playing a game 2 days ago & the sound worked, but then i quit & the sound no longer worked. i don't get it. adamvjackson 0 Posted October 2, 2002 So the last time you had sound working was when you were playing a game a few days ago, right? Ok, was this before or after you moved your computer? What operating system do you have, and which game was it you were playing? Hopefully narrowing down the problem here... Share this post Link to post

Mr.Guvernment 0 Posted October 5, 2002 Look in your volume control, make sure none are checked off as "muted" or the volume bar all the way down.... Share this post Link to post
