adamvjackson 0 Posted October 8, 2002 I got this drive free after a cleaning of a server room: http://webpages.charter.net/adamvjackson/DSC00001.JPG These are the discs for it: http://webpages.charter.net/adamvjackson/DSC00002.JPG From what I found, this drive was really only released to east markets. A google search for the model number returned only 3 hits, and 2 sites were in an asian language. From what I have heard, this drive may have been used to backup a pbx voicemenu. Any input is gladly accepted. Note that each pic is about 800KB sorry if you're on a dialup modem. Share this post Link to post
CUViper 0 Posted October 8, 2002 This is the closest I could find: http://www.olympus.co.jp/LineUp/Mo/MO640/tm640s2sE.html The model number there is MOS362S, rather than the MOS362E on you model - but it's close enough that there's got to be at least SOME similarity... If you want to look at some of their other MO drives, go here: http://www.olympus.co.jp/LineUp/Mo/indexE.html Share this post Link to post
Christianb 8 Posted October 8, 2002 Wow that's an extremely fast removable drive. Too bad it's it's proprietary and not of a larger capacity. Oh well I'm sure you'll put it to good use just the same . -Christian Blackburn Share this post Link to post
ptba42 0 Posted October 8, 2002 I looked up similar drives to what you have right there, and external ones are running in the thousands of dollars. I am looking at some prices right now and the cheapest I see for new ones are $6563.67. That is a lot of money for an optical drive. So you might try to pawn that off if you aren't going to use it. You could make yourself some nice extra spending money. Share this post Link to post
adamvjackson 0 Posted October 8, 2002 Wow... that's a lot of money... So.... want to make me an offer? Share this post Link to post
Christianb 8 Posted October 9, 2002 I fail to see why a Jazz SCSI wouldn't be better than this? Or a USB/Firewire removable HD? My guess is this is just a poor overpriced solution. I'd sell it and buy something usefull. Share this post Link to post
