NTLDR is missing (ATA66,win2k,BP6)

Recommended Posts

I have the following problem:

I installed win2k RC2 build 2128 on a Quantum 13,6 KA Gb and the drivers for the ATA66 controllers (HIGHPOINT) and I update the bios for the BP6 (NJ) & ATA controller (1,21) changed the boot sequence into: EXT,C,A (EXT-means UDMA66) but windows is still comming with the message:

NTLDR is missing

and PC won't BOOT !! (tried almost everthing)

changed the BOOT.INI (which was placed on: www.bp6.com) but it wonn't work.

Is there anyone who can help me solving the irritating problem ?????????

Thanx in advance.

IIRC, RC2 won't boot to an ATA/66 drive during setup.

Put the drive on ATA/33, install then move it back to the ATA/66 afterwards...
