Recommended Posts

I have install CDR100 to NT4.0 for no problem.

How to setup this old thing to Windows 2000 pro?

Because can't found Cd recorder at "Winon Cd 5.02 PE"

I try everything already.

1: re-install Windows 2000 pro SP3.

2: install new 4.72 aspi driver.

3: make change from "regedit".

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ASPI32 \Parameters:"ExcludeMiniports"=""

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ASPI32]

"ErrorControl"=dword:00000001

"Start"=dword:00000002

"Type"=dword:00000001

4: even download aspi fix file from: http://www.ntcompatible.com/

But just can't see the damn it "CD RECORDER" at "WINOC CD 5.02 PE"

Would somebody help? or I need go back to "WINNT 4.0" frownfrown

I will very happy to tell you this.

The procedure should be:

1: Install Windows 2000 pro.

2: Clean any old reg keys.

3: Install aspi new driver.

http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support...aspi_v472a2.exe

4: Added some reg keys or run ASPI fix.

* Windows NT/2K/XP MUST have these reg keys added if they aren't allready,otherwise some apps ( EAC, audiocatalyst, CDRWIN )wont show any aspi devices at all :

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ASPI32\Parameters]

"ExcludeMiniports"=""

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ASPI32]

"ErrorControl"=dword:00000001

"Start"=dword:00000002

"Type"=dword:00000001

* double click the included .reg file to add these if you are not xperienced editing the registry, as the adaptec installer currently doesn't set all of these up, this is the source of everyones problems.

* ASPI fix:

http://www.ntcompatible.com/downloadget.php?id=12&file=1

5: treat CD burner(cdr100) like a CD-rom.

http://www.yamaha.ca/computer/support/faq/t101.html

6: Install some CD burning software.

7: reboot.
