Battle Field 1942 to run on 2000?

Help I need to know how to get Battlefield 1942 to work on windows 2000!

What doesn't work about it? I had no problems installing and running the demo here...

My friend installed the full game just fine on win2k. We had a lan game with it just last week. It runs just fine on her win2k. I have another friend who runs win2k, he's on my messenger list who runs the game without issue.
