foxman98 0 Posted December 26, 1999 When running games such as quake3 and other glide games(kingpin) I notice that the textures seem kinda messed up. It is only noticeably fairly close, they have these red like like lines kind of outlinging certain areas. I hope someone knows what I mean cuz it's hard to describe.I am using seldzars' drivers (thanks by the way!) and run 2193, voodoo3 2000, sblive and dual PIII. Also, I have 128MB of RAM right now, and currently when running Task Man reveals that about 80MB is used. That is while running winamp, eudora etc. Now would I notice any performance difference in upping to 256 MB? And finally, has anyone seen or used an ultra ata66 pci card made by digital research I blieve.... Best Buy has it for 49.99. Any recomendations? Thanks, Steve Share this post Link to post
Seldzar 0 Posted December 26, 1999 Hahaha I know exactly what your problem is, Did you edit the INF to change the clock speed on your voodoo3 from 166 to 143? Or whatever the default clock for a 2000 is? If not thats the visual artifacts your seeing as your card is way overclocked =) btw Q3 and kingpin are't glide they are openGL I upgraded to 256mb of ram and win2k stopped thrashing my HD quite a bit. Before you buy any ata66 controller check the Hardware compatability list and the manufacturuers web site to ensure that they have win2k compliant drivers that will work. Share this post Link to post
