philly 0 Posted November 21, 2002 Hello, does anyone know how I can run those old games on XP ? I heard of an assistance program that simulates win 95/98.... Where can I get this assistant or other help ? Thanks for your responses ! Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted November 21, 2002 First try the games. If no work then come back. Share this post Link to post
pmistry 0 Posted November 21, 2002 XP's compatibility with 95/98/ME games is pretty damn good. The assistant is located in the Accessories section of the start menu. However, first try the games normally without fiddling, most of them work fine. Share this post Link to post
philly 0 Posted November 22, 2002 I have already tried the games (Baphomet 1+2 and Galador) and they didn´t run at all. Which start menue do you mean pmistry ? (Sorry, but English is a foreign language for me...) Share this post Link to post
pmistry 0 Posted November 22, 2002 In WinXP, click Start, then All Programs, then Accessories, and then Program Compatibility Wizard. If no luck, then use the help system and search for "compatibility." Share this post Link to post

xsavoie 0 Posted December 29, 2002 I am also interested in playing old games. The Comp. Wiz guides me to the Control Panel, then seems to say that the operating system name must be changed from Windows XP Home Edition/fast detect,to WINDOWS 95.Is that right,or what.Plus indicates a time frame for starting up with Windows 95.Did I miss something.I don't want to try this until I am sure.
